In a LinkedIn post published Monday, the defense and national security company said Kapusta will provide executive leadership and oversee the full integration of Xcelerate with VMD while ensuring synergy and strategic alignment of operations, capabilities and resources.
VMD Merger
In February, Xcelerate merged with Fairfax, Virginia-based VMD as part of a push to provide an expanded portfolio of secure platforms and services to federal government customers.
Established in 2002, VMD offers IT services in cybersecurity, agile engineering and critical infrastructure protection to the federal government.
COO David Kapusta
In this capacity, the newly appointed COO will also oversee Xcelerate’s daily operations, business functions and core infrastructure, including IT, contracts, finance, pricing and headquarters management.
He brings decades of experience and expertise in IT, systems implementation and integration, strategic planning and program and government contract management to the role.
