TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 8, 2017 Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has partnered with ISC2’s Center for Cyber Safety and Education in efforts to advance women’s interest in cybersecurity and offer six new scholarship opportunities, GovCon Executive reported Tuesday.
Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheons intelligence, information and services business and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2017, wrote in a guest piece published Monday on Fifth Domain that the Raytheon Womens Cybersecurity Scholarship program aims to address the current shortage in cyber talent as well as the gender gap in the field of cybersecurity.
Three scholarships will be available to women entering college and the other three to mid-career professionals.
