TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 26, 2016 Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has partnered with the ISC2 Foundation to launch a scholarship and internship program for female college students in the field of information technology security, GovCon Executive reported Thursday.
The company said Thursday the program will offer $90, 000 over three years to drive interest in cybersecurity degrees and address the current gender gap in the sector.
“These new programs will encourage women to pursue exciting and challenging career opportunities in cybersecurity, which will strengthen both our economy and our national security posture, ” said Dave Wajsgras, president of intelligence, information and services at Raytheon.
