Daniel Simms Takes on COO Role at Acuity International

Daniel Simms, formerly a vice president at Valiant Integrated Services, has joined Acuity International as chief operating officer, according to his LinkedIn announcement.

He assumed his new post after working for five years as a VP of critical mission solutions at Valiant, where he oversaw the delivery of intelligence, logistics, construction, training, threat deduction and risk management support to defense and government agencies.

Simms previously spent 11 years at government contractor Mission Essential, taking on roles such as VP of business development, VP of operations, director of operations and deputy program manager.

As VP of business development, Simms oversaw capture efforts, established organic growth pipelines and facilitated industry and customer partnerships.

Simms served six years in the Maryland Army National Guard before joining the private sector in 2007.
