Daniel Payne, a more than three-decade federal government official, has joined ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) as senior vice president and chief security officer.
He will directly report to Kevin Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech and a 2019 Wash100 awardee, as he oversees security and works to ensure the companys compliance with operational, information and industrial security regulations, ManTech said Monday.
In a career that spans more than 30 years of service to the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community, Daniel Payne earned his reputation as one of the finest professionals in the field of security for our government, Phillips said. At ManTech, his commitment to Delivering Uncompromised Security will set a standard in our industry.
Payne previously served as director of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency at the Pentagon. He worked for two years at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence as deputy chief of the National Counterintelligence and Security Center and held leadership roles at the CIA in counterterrorism and counterintelligence areas.
