Dan Muse, a more than 20-year finance and accounting professional, has been appointed chief financial officer at McLean, Va.-based government services contractor Preferred Systems Solutions.
He will directly report to Randy Morgan, president and CEO of PSS, and manage the companys accounting, finance, contracts and procurement, human resources, treasury, tax, information systems and corporate security functions, PSS said Tuesday.
Muse will also oversee profit-and-loss and business development operations at PSS GovCon consulting division, which offers back office support, financial consulting, systems implementation and hosting, business process outsourcing platforms and reporting tools to contractors.
Dans strong experience in corporate financial operations, along with his investment banking background serving the government contracting space, is an ideal fit for PSS as we work to extend our positive momentum, continue growing our platform, and achieve greater operating efficiency, Morgan said.
Muse previously served as CFO at Sevatec and FCI Enterprises and spent 10 years at Stifels aerospace, defense and government services group as an investment banker. He started his career at Goldman Sachs and Arthur Andersen.
PSS is a portfolio company of private equity firm CM Equity Partners and provides acquisition and program management, engineering and technical services, mobile applications, data analytics and cloud migration services to intelligence, defense and federal civilian agencies.
