Dan Hedstrom, formerly vice president of system solutions and services for Cubics (NYSE: CUB) transportation systems business division, has been named VP and chief information officer of the San Diego-based government contractor.
He will report to Bradley Feldmann, president and CEO of Cubic, and oversee the firms global information technology team, data security and other IT programs, the company said Monday.
Dan will provide strategic and execution leadership as we continue to align our IT functions with strategic business objectives, said Feldmann, who also serves as chairman of Cubic.
Hedstrom previously served as senior director of IT at photonics tech manufacturer Newport and held senior network engineer roles at tech firms such as Spectra-Physics, ETC Networks and CStone.
He is a member of the Society for Information Management and the Technology Services Industry Associations advisory board.
