Damian Watkins Named Aperio Global Chief Research Officer

Damian Watkins has transitioned to the role of chief research officer at Aperio Global, where he most recently served as chief research and innovation officer, the executive announced in a LinkedIn post Monday.

Building on his software development background, Watkins has more than 15 years of experience in Java and C++ development of data driven analytics.

The new Aperio Global CRO previously worked at CRW Innovations, a small business that provides several Department of Defense organizations with software and systems development, network analysis, custom algorithm development and cybersecurity services.

Watkins was president and CEO of CRW Innovations for nearly a decade before becoming its chief technology officer, a role he held for over five years.

He has a doctorate in electrical and computer engineering from Morgan State University.
