John Felker, former assistant director for integrated operations at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, has joined the federal strategic advisory board of Parsons (NYSE: PSN).
Parsons said Tuesday Felker will be part of the group that provides strategic guidance on the company's federal market areas such as cyber and intelligence, missile defense, space and geospatial systems.
Before CISA, he served as director of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center, a Department of Homeland Security facility that works with the private sector to protect digital infrastructure.
He also held a three-decade career with the U.S. Coast Guard and was deputy commander for the service branch's cyber organization prior to his retirement.
Carey Smith, president and chief operating officer of Parsons and two-time Wash100 awardee, Felker will offer his perspective as the company looks to grow its core markets and technology offerings.
