Brian Hobbs
Brian Hobbs, a cybersecurity and information technology professional with more than 25 years of program leadership experience, has been named chief information officer of Arlington, Va.-based naval engineering firm Gibbs & Cox.
He will oversee Gibbs & Cox’s corporate IT infrastructure, personnel, security, processes and end user services in his new position, the company said Monday.
Prior to this appointment, Hobbs was director of client data protection at Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal services arm. He also served in cybersecurity and IT leadership roles during his 24-year career at the U.S. Air Force.
“With the cyber landscape constantly evolving and threats becoming increasingly more sophisticated, Brian’s experience will help us and our clients increase resiliency and securely achieve the next generation of cyber capabilities,” said Chris Deegan, president and chief executive of Gibbs & Cox.
