TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 18, 2018 The U.S. Navy has awarded Cubics (NYSE: CUB) global defense unit eight delivery orders with a $16 million combined value to update a virtual training environment for the service branchs Littoral Combat Ships, ExecutiveBiz reported May 10.
Cubic said May 10 it will add new functionality and virtual content to the Immersive Virtual Shipboard Environment that is designed to provide a 3D training platform to simulate scenarios in the real world.
“We are pleased to continue our support for the U.S. Navy with the creation of virtual and immersive training courseware that aligns with our NextTraining strategy,” said Dave Buss, president of Cubic Global Defense.
