A Concurrent Technologies Corp.-led industry team will conduct technology research for a U.S. Marine Corps ground transport vehicle replacement initiative under a contract from the Office of Naval Research.
The companies will perform trade studies, performance analysis and computer-aided design work.
USMC is looking to replace its medium tactical vehicle fleet with transport systems that are smaller, lighter, digitally enabled, more fuel-efficient and potentially run on hybrid electric power.
“This work aligns with CTC’s mission to provide our Department of Defense clients with advanced technologies to meet their needs; in this case, to bring vision to next generation platforms,” CTC President and CEO Ed Sheehan said.
