Crowley‘s government-focused arm has secured a one-year, $466 million contract modification from the U.S. Transportation Command to continue providing defense freight transportation services across the continental U.S. and Canada.
The action raises the total cumulative face value of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, fixed-price contract with Crowley Government Services to $1.7 billion, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The company’s work under the DFTS program is in support of the Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Contract Management Agency and Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk. It will run through July 31, 2023, and help meet requirements for surface transportation coordination services within CONUS and Canada.
DFTS covers freight of all kinds and supports the supply chain and national security mission of defense and other government agencies through transportation services.
