Criterion Systems has purchased Realm Consulting, an information technology services subcontractor for the intelligence community, for an undisclosed sum and established a new intelligence solutions business unit.
Criterion said Tuesday it operates Realm as a wholly owned subsidiary and Steve Mast, chief financial officer of Criterion, oversees the subsidiary as president.
“We are pleased to expand Criterion’s capabilities to serve the Intelligence Community via this acquisition,” said Mast. “Realm’s employees bring deep experience and expertise in classified environments that will benefit the company as a whole.”
Realm Consulting provides services across the areas of cybersecurity, software development, network and systems engineering in support of the intelligence community.
Ross Deem, co-founder of Realm Consulting, has joined Criterion as vice president and chief technology officer of the new intelligence business unit, which is focused on providing cyber operations and systems integration support to IC customers.
John Abromavage, former VP of strategy at Realm, also serves as a VP at the new business unit.
Founded in 2005, Vienna, Virginia-based Criterion has been providing cybersecurity, IT infrastructure operations, cloud and data center management and systems engineering support for federal government clients.
