Craig Mueller, formerly director of federal civilian sales at FireEye (Nasdaq: FEYE), has been promoted to vice president of federal sales at the California-based security company, Homeland Security Today reported Wednesday.
The report said Mueller will aim to identify, expand and implement FireEye’s federal government sales strategy in his new position.
“FireEyes innovative technology, industry leading threat intelligence, and world-class expertise offers our federal customers extensive capabilities that help provide significant defenses against todays emerging cyber threats,” said Mueller in the report. “FireEye is committed to helping safeguard our customers critical assets by utilizing the years of experience weve had combating the attackers on the front lines, and I am proud to continue this mission, supporting the needs of our federal clients.”
He joined the company in 2014 after serving a similar role at CipherCloud. Prior to that, he served as a regional sales manager at BMC Software, which he joined through the software and services provider’s acquisition of BladeLogic. He also managed federal accounts at Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO), PTC and Witness Systems.
