TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 19, 2016 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Collinear Networks have entered into a partnership in efforts to commercialize wireless transmission technology over a period of more than two years, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
Collinear has worked to develop a Lockheed-built hybrid point-to-point wireless transmission platform and will have exclusive marketing and non-government sales rights to the product under the partnership, Lockheed said Thursday.
“We appreciate the opportunity to work with Collinear to develop this hybrid communications technology that leverages Lockheed Martin’s heritage in RF and optical technologies with Collinear’s experience in networking technology, ” said Rick Ambrose, executive vice president at Lockheed’s space systems segment.
