Cognosante has secured a potential $98M blanket purchase agreement from the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide consulting and assistance services to help the Veterans Health Administration achieve a “high reliability organization” status.
“We are proud to support the VHA – the largest integrated healthcare system in the country – in its mission to provide Veterans with critical healthcare services in the most safe and reliable environments possible,” James Gordon, president of Cognosante, said in a statement published Thursday.
Cognosante and its partners will help VHA carry out assessments of VA medical centers as well as come up and execute tailored implementation plans to advance HRO principles across the agency. The BPA also includes training, sustainment plans, coaching and other services.
The company's partners that will support the VHA effort include the Institute for Safe Medication Practice, Safe and Reliable Healthcare, Intermountain Healthcare, Ipsos, Health Care Management Solutions, Pharos Group, TechWerks and Jeff Wright Consulting.
