TYSONS CORNER, VA, Nov. 19, 2021 — The Department of Veterans Affairs has processed 10 million community care referrals using a Cognosante-implemented website for referral and authorization management, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The Community Care Referral and Authorization System is used by all 155 VA Medical Centers to collectively process 500,000 referrals every month and Philip Dietz, general manager of Cognosante’s military and veteran health business unit, noted how the program has grown and evolved.
“Every day, we strive to make the process even better, streamlining and adding enhancements as the program matures,” he said.
