Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions has unveiled a new logo and shortened its name to CAES, demonstrating its transformation into an agile, customer-centric organization focused on meeting customer requirements in the aerospace and defense sectors, GovCon Wire has learned.
Mike Kahn, president and CEO of CAES and an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2021, said the move comes as the company implements new initiatives to modernize internal processes, drive investments to accelerate prototype delivery, reduce development risks and bring innovative products to market.
“While the Cobham name does have longstanding recognition and denotes a certain legacy, we are excited to be a US-based company with a renewed focus on execution and innovating for our customers,” Kahn noted.
Kahn also noted the addition of several A&D industry veterans to CAES’ senior leadership team. In January, the company named David Young as chief technology officer and Sean Daily as chief financial officer.
CAES is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, and operates with over 3,600 employees focused on providing radiation-hardened technology platforms, analog, RF, microwave, microelectronic platforms and subsystems and other mission-critical electronic products for defense and aerospace applications.
