Dave McClure, formerly chief strategist of cybersecurity at Coalfire’s federal business, has joined Accenture’s (NYSE: ACN) federal services business as director of the federal chief information officer advisory practice.
Accenture said Thursday McClure will work to advise federal CIOs on modernization strategies and digital transformation efforts that seek to build up customer experiences and mission performance.
David Moskovitz, CEO of Accenture Federal Services, said McClure has led transformational information technology and cloud computing efforts in the federal government and his public sector and industry experience would play a role in helping clients leverage innovation to build up performance.
McClure joined Coalfire, then Veris Group, in 2014 after he spent nearly five years at the General Services Administration as associate administrator of citizen services and innovative technologies.
Prior to GSA, he worked at Gartner as managing vice president for government technology research and spent 14 years at the Government Accountability Office as director of IT management.
McClure also served as VP for eGovernment at the Council for Excellence in Government and former executive chair at the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council.
