Sharif Hussein, senior vice president for the Midwest region at CNSI, has been promoted to chief strategy officer and appointed to the board of directors at the Rockville, Maryland-based information technology services contractor.
CNSI said Wednesday Hussein will help the management team establish a technology and business roadmap as well as oversee the company’s industry, government affairs and business development strategy.
“Hussein has been at the forefront of the dynamic healthcare landscape, and the trust he has built with our clients is a testament to his leadership, capability and experience,” said Adnan Ahmed, CNSI founding partner and president.
Hussein has led the development, implementation and launch of CNSI’s evoBrix cloud-based, automated Medicaid management information system in support of a partnership between the state of Illinois and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
He also spearheaded the deployment and operations of an MMIS platform for the state of Michigan and Utah’s Health Department.
The 40-year industry veteran previously worked as president of CNSI’s international division, general manager at BearingPoint and corporate development and sales lead at Orascom Telecom.
