TYSONS CORNER, VA, July 5, 2017 ” Carl De Groote, senior director for Defense Department programs at Cisco Systems (Nasdaq: CSCO), has said a combination of automation technology and a highly skilled workforce will help DoD build on its cybersecurity, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
He wrote in a guest piece published Saturday in Signal Magazine that DoD should look into how it can leverage both human and machine as it grows the Cyber Mission Force toward full operational capability.
“[DoD] networks will need more than human capital to keep up with the sheer volume, speed and intensity of sustained attacks,” he said.
“[An] effective cyber strategy should strike a balance between skilled cyber experts and tools and automation that provide speed and accuracy.”
