Christopher Valentino, chief strategy officer of Peraton since 2021, has assumed a new role as chief innovation officer at the Reston, Virginia-based federal technology and services contractor, according to a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
His responsibilities include leading Peraton’s value creation initiatives, aligning its sector investments with the corporate strategy and helping shape the future of the company.
Valentino concurrently serves as acting president of Peraton Labs, an engineering and applied research organization focused on cybersecurity, analytics and communications.
He previously held a 23-year career at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and received the technical fellow emeritus designation while working there.
Earlier in his career, Valentino was an information technology specialist for Orbital ATK.
