Chris Buffoni, former senior vice president of enterprise business operations at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has joined Cherokee Nation Businesses’ government contracting arm as SVP for growth and performance.
The nearly three-decade industry veteran will oversee growth strategies at Cherokee Federal in his new position, the company said Monday.
He previously spent two decades at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) in various roles such as SVP of SAIC’s integration management office, where he oversaw mergers and acquisitions and shareholder value creation initiatives.
His career with SAIC also included time as deputy group manager, line chief financial officer and developmental finance roles.
“A well-respected and talented industry veteran, Chris brings an abundance of strategies that will help us analyze how we serve our customers better now – and in the future. Most importantly, he will help us maximize our investments so we can continue to provide a healthy return to our shareholders at Cherokee Nation,” said Steven Bilby, president of Cherokee Federal.
