Christie Thomas, formerly corporate director of investor relations at Huntington Ingalls Industries(NYSE: HII), has been named vice president of contracts and pricing for the company’s Newport News Shipbuilding division.
HII said Friday Thomas succeeds Tom Johnston and will oversee the division’s contracts, pricing and export/import licensing and compliance functions in her new position.
She brings a wealth of knowledge to this role, and I am confident that she will help strengthen our team and prepare us to transition into our future,” said Don Godwin, chief financial officer of Newport News Shipbuilding.
Thomas joined the company in 2006 and has since served in director-level roles at HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division, where she focused on supply chain and business management, business development and contracts and pricing activities.
She previously held a 12-year career at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).
