Carahsoft Technology has received a blanket purchase agreement under the Department of Defense’s Enterprise Software Initiative to provide government, defense and intelligence community customers with access to key software and information technology offerings.
Carahsoft said Thursday the BPA comes as part of the company’s Federal Supply Schedule vehicle under the General Services Administration and expands a previous agreement for cybersecurity and asset management tools and support.
The agreement is meant to help mitigate contracting and cost issues related to traditional acquisition procedures, the company noted.
Offerings covered by both BPAs include software products, IT services, training and maintenance support for the DOD, IC and U.S. Coast Guard.
Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft and a 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, said the BPAs will help government customers leverage key technologies and services offered by more than 20 providers.
