Carahsoft Technology has expanded its role as an Amazon Web Services distributor by offering the latter’s suite of cloud-based products and services via the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
Carahsoft said Thursday it can now distribute the VMware Cloud on AWS GovCloud and other AWS platforms to federal, state and local agencies as well as educational institutions.
Agencies will also have access to AWS services through 39 other government procurement vehicles, including the National Association of State Procurement Officers ValuePoint and NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V contracts.
As our customers and resellers look to accelerate cloud migrations, they are embracing AWS to power their infrastructure, increase agility and lower costs, said Will Jones, a senior vice president at Carahsoft.
The company added it offers opportunities for public sector clients to incorporate tools from a list of independent software vendors to cloud deployment efforts.
