Cal Shintani, former chief growth officer of Highpoint Global, has been appointed to the same position at Arlington, Va.-based government services contractor Buchanan & Edwards.
He will lead Buchanan & Edwards’ corporate business development, communications and marketing functions, as well as help its CEO and chief financial officer formulate merger-and-acquisition strategies, the company said Thursday.
Before HighPoint, Shintani worked in a similar role at Oceus Networks and led the telecommunications firm’s contract pursuit efforts in the defense sector.
He previously assumed business development and profit-and-loss responsibilities at CACI International (NYSE: CACI), BTG, Gray Hawk Systems, Veridian and Unisys (NYSE: UIS).
Shintani serves as a fellow of the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council and a member of the Professional Services Council and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association.
