CAE Chief Financial Officer Sonya Branco, four-decade industry veteran Brian Morra and former House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry have joined the board of directors at CAE USA.
Montreal-based CAE said Thursday its U.S. subsidiary board includes outside directors who provide oversight for the defense contractor’s government security and export compliance.
Branco has served as the company’s vice president of finance and CFO since May 2016 and is responsible for the financial operations of 160 offices and training facilities across the globe.
Thornberry, who represented Texas’ 13th district in Congress for 26 years, led the congressional panel that has primary jurisdiction over Department of Defense operations from 2015 to 2019.
Morra previously served as executive chairman at CAE USA’s Mission Solutions Inc. subsidiary, vice president of Northrop Grumman’s (NYSE: NOC) mission systems sector and a general manager at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
Bryan “Doug” Brown, chairman of CAE USA, said outside directors oversee the subsidiary’s expansion initiatives such as its pending $1.05 billion acquisition of the military training business from L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX).
