CAE’s U.S. subsidiary will move to operate training programs for U.S. Army combat helicopter operators after the company received authorization to proceed with work on a potential seven-year, $90M contract originally awarded in May.
The Montreal-based company said Tuesday the U.S. Federal Claims Court upheld the service branch’s award of the Advanced Helicopter Flight Training Support contract to CAE USA for simulation, classroom and live instructional services to CH-47, UH-60 and AH-64 aircrew.
Work will take place at the Army Aviation Center of Excellence in Alabama and include additional services to train non-rated crewmembers and maintenance examiners.
MAG Aerospace, Navigator Development Group and Pinnacle Solutions are CAE USA’s teaming partners in the program.
The contract has one base year and six option years that would extend flight training support services through 2027, with the initial base award booked as the prime contractor’s order intake for the first quarter of its 2021 fiscal year.
