Bridget Lauderdale Named Lockheed F-35 Program Head in Series of Exec Moves

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has tapped Bridget Lauderdale, vice president and general manager for the integrated fighter group at the company’s aeronautics business, to assume the same roles in support of the F-35 Lightning II Program, effective April 12.

Lauderdale will work with U.S. and international clients and lead the F-35 program as it focuses on fifth-generation aircraft production, delivery, sustainment and modernization, the company said Monday.

The 25-year industry veteran will take over the responsibilities of Bill Brotherton, who has been holding the roles in an acting capacity and is now set to assume a new seat as Aeronautics Enterprise Performance VP at the company. She will also officially replace Greg Ulmer, former F-35 program VP and general manager and the new Lockheed Martin Aeronautics executive vice president.

Lauderdale will be supported by Doug Wilhelm, the F-35 Program’s acting vice president and deputy general manager who will serve on a permanent basis starting next week.

Commenting on the executive movements, Ulmer said it reflects Lockheed’s leadership succession planning as Lauderdale, Brotherton and Wilhelm have strong customer relationships in addition to their deep understanding of the business segment’s offerings.

Lockheed has yet to name Lauderdale’s successor. F-22 Program VP OJ Sanchez will temporarily function as acting IFG vice president and general manager.
