Brad Buswell, former president of Rapiscan Systems‘ North American business and aviation products segment, was appointed as Leidos‘ (NYSE: LDOS) senior vice president of security detection and automation, G2Xchange FedCiv reported Tuesday.
He brings to Leidos experience in advising defense and security companies about business leadership and management, government contracting as well as strategic planning and execution.
Prior to joining Leidos in April, Buswell worked as principal at B. Buswell LLC for nearly six years. He was president and CEO of security company Morpho Detection from July 2010 to August 2013.
His experience in the government includes time serving at the Department of Homeland Security as deputy undersecretary for science and technology, responsible for leading the creation and execution of the S&T Directorate’s strategy.
