Kathleen Sifer, a former principal at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), has joined Grant Thornton as a managing director of the accounting and advisory services company’s federal financial regulatory practice.
The more than three-decade public and private sector veteran will oversee the practice’s business development and quality delivery efforts, Grant Thornton said Monday.
“Kathleen brings to Grant Thornton deep experience in navigating the complex regulatory requirements of the financial services industry,” said Carlos Otal, national managing partner of Grant Thornton’s public sector business.
“Her background and leadership will enhance our capabilities for clients preparing for changes to the regulatory environment under the new administration.”
Before she joined Booz Allen, Sifer led change management programs for bank regulators and global financial institutions at Mellon Bank, Barnett Bank and the Bank of America.
She also spent three years with the Peace Corps as a country director for Bolivia, Ecuador and the Republic of Georgia.
