Booz Allen to Support EPA’s Modernization Efforts Under $431M Scientific Modeling Support BPA; Dave Sulek Quoted

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) will provide the Environmental Protection Agency with artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics capabilities through its spot on the potential seven-year, $431 million Scientific Modeling, Application, Visualization, Computational Science, Software and Statistical Support blanket purchase agreement.

The company said Wednesday it will also provide scientific modeling and geospatial analysis support and increase the use of technical and scientific data to support EPA’s Office of Research and Development modernization efforts and mission to protect the environment and human health, provide clean drinking water and support disaster relief efforts.

“The SMAVCS4 BPA aligns with Booz Allen’s growth strategy of Velocity, Leadership and Technology (VoLT) by addressing climate resiliency as a mission of national importance,” said Dave Sulek, senior vice president at Booz Allen and a strategy and policy expert overseeing the company’s climate and infrastructure work.

“This work also enables our firm to apply and fully capitalize on our significant investments in digital, advanced data analytics, AI, and ML technologies to support ORD’s most pressing scientific, mission, and programmatic priorities to strengthen the nation’s resiliency,” added Sulek.

Booz Allen was one of the four companies that secured positions on the SMAVCS4 BPA that EPA awarded in February. The other three awardees are CGI Federal, General Dynamics Information Technology and Eastern Research Group.
