TYSONS CORNER, VA, February 15, 2019 Boeing (NYSE: BA) has delivered to the U.S. Air Force late last week the fifth tanker aircraft that it built for the service branch to support aerial refueling operations, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Feb. 8 the latest KC-46A Pegasus will be housed at Altus Air Force Base in Oklahoma, where the 56th Air Refueling Squadron will train aircrew, maintenance and support personnel for the base’s potential four-tanker fleet.
“We look forward to continuing to deliver KC-46 tankers to Altus, McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas, and New Hampshires Pease Air National Guard Base, throughout this year,” noted Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s defense, space and security business and a 2019 Wash100 awardee.
