Boeing Receives $99M Military Rescue Radio Sustainment Contract From Air Force

Boeing (NYSE: BA) will help the U.S. Air Force sustain radio technology for search-and-rescue communications as part of a five-year, $99 million contractor logistics support contract.

The company will engineer systems, maintain and secure software, manage technical orders and address contract data requirements for the Combat Survivor Evader Locator program, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

USAF obligated $13 million for the initial task order under the sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract using the branch’s fiscal 2023 operations and maintenance funds.

The CSEL system facilitates transmission of situational, position and location data from downed pilots.
