TYSONS CORNER, VA, Dec. 27, 2017 Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured certification from the Federal Aviation Administration following a series of tests on the 767-2C airframe configuration of the KC-46 tanker aircraft, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said Thursday the Amended Type Certification serves to verify the core tanker design’s safety and reliability based on laboratory, ground and flight tests and analyses on the aircraft’s avionics, fuel system, control systems and other components.
