Boeing (NYSE: BA) has wrapped up its purchase of Aurora Flight Sciences for an undisclosed amount to further the aerospace and defense contractor’s autonomous technology development efforts.
Chicago-based Boeing said Wednesday Aurora will retain its business name and join the former’s engineering, test and technology group.
Aurora is headquartered in Manassas, Virginia, and has more than 550 workers at various company facilities in Massachusetts, California, Western Virginia, Mississippi, Ohio and Switzerland.
