According to Boeing, there are over 1,200 Apache aircraft in operation with the Army and international defense forces. The attack helicopters have recorded more than 4 million flight hours.
Apache serves as the Army’s primary combat helicopter and supports multi-domain missions. It is expected to be in production until 2028 and remain operational into the 2060s considering its modular open systems architecture.
In June, Boeing received a $169.5 million contract from the Army for a long lead effort in support of the full-rate production of lot 12 Apache.
