TYSONS CORNER, VA, Oct. 20, 2016 Bill Birkhofer, senior vice president for aerospace and defense at Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC), has said the company sees opportunities in commercial space launch services and the “commercialization” of low Earth orbit, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
Birkhofer, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2016, told ExecutiveBiz in an interview that space will be among Jacobs’ focus areas alongside defense, nuclear energy and what he calls the “enterprise transformation” of the company’s U.S. public sector client base.
“These are activities important for us to learn from as we go about transforming our own enterprise and as we think about future pathways to value that will enable us to better support our clients, ” he said.
