BigBear.ai Completes Ask Sage Acquisition

BigBear.ai has completed its acquisition of Ask Sage, a generative artificial intelligence platform designed for government and regulated industries, in a cash transaction valued at approximately $250 million.

How Does the Ask Sage Acquisition Benefit BigBear.ai?

BigBear.ai said Wednesday the transaction will help expand its presence across defense, intelligence, national security and regulated commercial markets and strengthen its commitment to delivering AI tools to customers.

The transaction was first announced in November.

“Completing the acquisition of Ask Sage marks a significant milestone for BigBear.ai and accelerates our vision of delivering mission-ready AI that customers can deploy with confidence,” said BigBear.ai CEO Kevin McAleenan.

“Ask Sage is already operating at scale in mission-critical environments, and together we are bringing to market a secure, integrated AI platform that unifies data, software, and mission services in one place,” added McAleenan, a two-time Wash100 awardee.

Through the acquisition, BigBear.ai will expand its AI portfolio with the addition of generative AI workflows and help government and enterprise clients integrate AI while retaining control over security requirements, data sovereignty and model governance.
