Jim Garrettson, founder and CEO of Executive Mosaic, presented Bernie Elero, senior vice president of Business Development and Capture Management for AECOMs Intelligence Community Solutions Business Unit, the Chairmans Award for completing his third year as the chairman of the Intel Group for Executive Mosaics 4×24 program.
Elero joined AECOM to fill his current role with the company in 2014. Hes responsible for the entire business development and capture teams within ICS, which involves managing all growth resources, ensuring excellence in business strategy, marketing, capture and proposal management, and technically, delivering service, solutions and systems integration capabilities.
Prior to his tenure with AECOM, Elero served as the senior vice president and chief growth officer for L3 Communications between 2011 and 2014. He ensured excellence in business strategy, marketing, capture and proposal management and delivered service, solutions and systems integration capabilities on the technical side.
He also served as the executive vice president of Cobham from 2009 to 2011. Elero has held a range of other leadership positions with companies in the government and aerospace industries over his 35 years of experience.
Elero graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Eastern Michigan University.
