Beacon Global Strategies has appointed technology leaders Divyansh Kaushik and Ben Schramm as vice presidents to offer insights to the strategic advisory firm’s global technology policy practice and national security tech practice, respectively.
Beacon said Thursday Kaushik brings to the role his experience in national security and artificial intelligence, machine learning and other emerging technologies.
He previously served as associate director for emerging technologies and national security at the Federation of American Scientists.
Kaushik is a senior fellow at FAS and the American Policy Ventures and a member of the Advisory Council for the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue University.
Before Beacon, Schramm was director of national security operations at Maxar Intelligence, where he led strategic growth initiatives and business development efforts for stakeholders in the national security market.
He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran whose career in the Department of Defense included time as senior adviser and chief of staff to the secretary of the Air Force, special assistant to the secretary of defense and special assistant to the assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs.
