TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 17, 2016 Battelle has received a five-year contract extension from the Energy Department to continue to operate the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
Tri-City Herald reported Friday that the extension beyond September 2017 works to support continuity of operations at the lab in Richland, Washington.
DOE and Battelle will still negotiate on the description and scope of work under the contract, the report said.
