Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has promoted Barry Byrd to director of contracts from his prior role as deputy director.
Byrd shared his promotion in a LinkedIn post and noted that he will focus on Dynetics’ aerospace, defense and civil business operations in his new capacity.
He spent more than 14 years at the U.S. Army’s contracting services organization before his appointment at Dynetics in November 2020.
At Army Contracting Command, Byrd previously served as international contracts branch chief, contract specialist, contracting officer and executive director to the ACC-Redstone Arsenal executive director
Byrd holds a bachelor’s degree in business technology management from the University of North Alabama and a master’s degree in management science from the Florida Institute of Technology.
