TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 19, 2018 BAE Systems will collaborate with the Air Force Research Laboratory to advance the development of gallium nitride semiconductor technology for the U.S. Air Force, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.
The company said Monday its cooperative agreement with AFRL aims to transition Air Force-built GaN microelectronics to the BAE Advanced Microwave Products Center in an effort to mature the technology for future use in radars, communications systems and electronic warfare platforms and make them available to Defense Department suppliers through an open foundry.
