TYSONS CORNER, VA, May 2, 2017 BAE Systems has rolled out the Astute-class nuclear-powered attack submarine named Audacious for commissioning work and eventual sea trials before the vessel joins the U.K. navy’s fleet, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
The company said Friday Audacious emerged from Devonshire Dock Hall at its Barrow-in-Furness facility in the U.K. and was lowered to the dock water to proceed with the next test phase and then the sea trials in 2018.
