BAE Systems has been awarded a $91.9M contract modification to continue manufacturing explosive materials for the U.S. Army at a government-owned, contractor-operated ammunition factory in Tennessee.
Army Contracting Command estimates work under the modification will be finished by Dec. 31, 2023, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The company initially received a $202.4M fixed-price-incentive contract last year to support production work at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant .
According to BAE, the factory supplies royal demolition and high melting explosives to the DoD.
