TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 14, 2017 ” Amazon Web Services (Nasdaq: AMZN) has unveiled plans to establish the AWS GovCloud (US-East) Region in 2018 to provide cloud hosting services to government customers in the East Coast, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The company said Tuesday the facility will be its second after the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region established in 2011 and will work to support sensitive data and regulated workloads as well as provide more options for disaster recovery in compliance with U.S. government requirements.
