TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 16, 2019 AT&T (NYSE: T) and the First Responder Network Authority will work with the Department of the Navy to deploy the FirstNet national public safety broadband network at U.S. Navy and Marine Corps facilities across the U.S., ExecutiveBiz reported April 1.
Seeking Alpha reported April 1 that the service branch issued a policy directive that covers strategies, policies and procedures as well as requirements associated with the implementation of the FirstNet platform at the relevant installations.
“Its a promising first step toward eventual procurement, deployment and management of FirstNet-based services,” said Mike Leff, vice president for defense at the AT&T public sector business.
